About Atlanta Remodeling

Bires Remodeling is an EPA Certified Lead-Safe Firmepa_logo

As of March 2010, Bires Remodeling in Atlanta is an officially certified lead-safe contractor. What does this mean to our clients?

Common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead-based paint, which can be harmful to adults and children. Bires Remodeling has been certified lead-safe by the EPA, so you can be assured that when we undertake renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in your home, best practices for ensuring the safety of your family are being observed. These new EPA regulations only apply to homes that were built prior to 1978, and are effective as of April 2010.

Lead poisoning is one of the most serious environmental health hazards to children, particularly for children under the age of six. Elevated blood lead levels can impair a young child’s mental and physical development. Adults exposed to high levels of lead, usually in the workplace, are also at risk.

Trust Bires Remodeling to properly contain lead dust and chips for the continued well-being of everyone in your home!
